Max for Live: MIDI Note Splitter

Take an incoming MIDI performance and split the notes into multiple tracks in a round-robin arrangement. Useful to record a polyphonic performance with a monophonic synthesizer or divide notes among multiple synths.

  1. Wow this is Great! I love it, I use it with 3 different NI Massive (1 of each track) and I control independently pan, delay, distortion, wavetable position and ADSR.
    It creates a beautiful stereo images with perfect mono compatibility, super wide sound mono-compatible it’s pretty hard to do without phase issue.
    The graphic is smartly simple and really cool.

  2. Great solution! I had previously been using the midiPolyphony utility from pizmidi but this is much more elegant.
    For the monophonic softsynth use-case, may I suggest the simplification of using an instrument rack to group all the instances of the Note Splitter and instrument instead of spreading them over multiple Midi tracks.
